Music tour, picture heavy

This is what I’ve been doing for the past three weeks, lots of pics and none of my old ■■■■■■■■ to bore you to tears

Loading the lighting in Calgary

Going to need a wash as I hit a bit of ‘weather’ on the way over

Running through the Rockies on the way to the first venue on this leg

Sound and backline on one truck, lighting on the other

Looking a little cleaner now, thanks to five hours on the brushes and hose pipe.

Load in, Penticton, British Columbia, with the crew bus.

After another day in the wash bay, Kamloops, British Columbia.

Load out and onto the next venue, Prince George, British Columbia, hope it stays dry…

It didn’t!

Load in

Out for a Kodak moment in Dawson creek, British Columbia.

This is what the poxy weather does to my nice clean truck, not a happy camper at all.

A hard 700mile overnight run, as you can see

The duck was also not too pleased with the roads

Load in, Lethbridge, Alberta.

Ready for a bath, they had a fire hose and they are a lotta fun, I want one at home!

From L to R, Support Act Bus, Star Bus, Crew/Band Bus, The other truck and mine

Nearly new arena with a ridiculous loading dock, blind side, downhill and you can’t see the door because of the wall jutting out, we were the first trucks to make it into the door, the others gave up and stopped on the ramp…muppets!

Load in, I got the unit parrallel with the wall to my left for load out, so it looked a bit more professional, but I have no picture, so you’ll just have to take my word for it!

Posing in the sun at Brandon, Manitoba

Nice angle for a picture

My boss ■■■■■■■ around during soundcheck with the star of the show, bossman Kerry Brandt is the one with the tattoo, star of the show Paul Brandt to his left and owner of the electric guitar, Ed Eason to his right.

Fantastic…

I wouldnt even try to clean it in that kinda weather whats the point

Fancy a job swap for a couple of month during the summer serious proposition btw

Have you been to Calgary, wifes luvs Paul. If you haven,t been yet when are you coming

Calgary was in December, so she missed out

Thanks, she says he back in July doing bits at the Stampede after the chuck wagon races. She thinks he live on the outskirts of Calgary somewhere. Hope you keep yourself safe and don,t forget theres a cuppa or pint waiting for you when you get time in Calgary

Thanks, I’ll have time one day

He is doing 15 nights at the Stampede, going to be a hell of a show, I hope to make it there.

Some good pic there , I was about to ask what blindside reverse then I realised its the wrong way round :stuck_out_tongue: ! Keep em coming and clean the duck :stuck_out_tongue:

some great pics there, well done.

my brother lives in prince george, and his son is a trucker too. cheers.

Impressed with your blindside onto the door, that’s tight.

Same as others, couldn’t see the point of the 1st cleaning, 2nd yeah because you were getting to venue and would be visible, but 1st, sod that

Brilliant post, thank you.

The thing with the cleaning is that the trucks are a rolling billboard, so it’s all about appearances, as you can see by the state they get in, there’s a lot of dirty trucks on the road which makes the clean ones stand out even more, when we roll up into town people that may have missed the promotions will realise that the man is in town and scoop up any remaining tickets.

We also have to be very polite out on the road for the same reasons, sometimes I wish I had a plain white unit and a blue TIP curtainsider
