The Mighty Midget (Allan) has had a stroke - but is fighting back. he has his sight and speech back- those EX- Murfitts guys and girls that always fight each other are trying to raise enough cash to get him an electric wheelchair
last time i seen mighty was when he was on for keedwells for kruger. best of luck alan in youār recovery.
Hmmā¦
Imagine all the drivers on TNUKā¦
the brainy, the thick, the noobs, the boring (except the polishers) and the downright mental.
Put them all into blue and white Eurotechs on the road to Carisio and youāll get an idea what Murfitts was likeā¦
Murfitts gave plenty of novices like me a fair go on European work with suitable kit and the right back up.
Where do young British drivers get to cut their teeth on International work these days?

Good luck to Allan, he gave me a lift home (with the firms blessing) when I left Murfitts.
My landlady made him some tea and we put him up for the night after a trip to the pub.
Happy memoriesā¦

if were gonna take the ā ā ā ā out of murffits dont forget they were all ex SAS and are likely to absail down the side of your house swing in through the windows to seek stealth like revenge.i think they had a recruiting office in hereford which recruited drivers for both big wheels and little wheels but on seperated days of course.was it small wheels parking at the pub macon and big wheels at the BP.Still they kept the rest of us amused
This is the sort of comment that amused Murfitts so much- if you had any real idea of the company and drivers you would know it was made up of characters - and yes we did like the envy that others had⦠and milked it- perhaps the 2nd best company I ever worked for. being the biggest and the best sets you up for everyone else to have a go⦠the best thing about Murfitts is we all found it funny- If you hadnt heard a rumour about a Murfitts driver by Monday it was obligatory for every Murfitts driver that you had to start one.
And lets be clear here Murfitts were bought down by a few⦠not by the majority, and by managements not stamping on what was going wrong⦠I worked for a manager by the initials of CJ⦠who tried to push me⦠once I refused as most did I got moved to work under Rayā¦who never pushed me. the vast majority at Murfitts ran as legal as anyone else and we all lost our jobs because of a few who didnt have the backbone to say NO
Replace the word murfitts with Stobart in most of that post rikki. :?:
