Can anyone tell me what the keyboard shortcut is to put the date in a cell?.

Also if there are any others you know of i would be obliged.

you can use

=now() for time and date

or

=today() for date only

then format them to your chosen style

eg: ddmmyy or ddmmyyyy or for Pat & Kate mmddyy

Volatile but automatically updates

If you mean how to quickly insert todays date into a cell while typing it’s CTRL+;

Mine doesnt do that :confused:

Ctrl + moves the cells up or down

Not CTRL + :unamused: :unamused: CTRL and ; (semi colon) CTRL+;

Well you learn something everyday

Ctrl + ; = date

Ctrl + : = time

I knew the time shortcut, didnt realise it can be used for date.
