may be a dumb question but here goes, trying to sort out some rough costings on moving a relative from leicester to york, found somewhere to hire a 7.5 from but just trying to work out roughly how much fuel i would use, the distance one way is 122 miles but donmt really know how many MPG i would expect to get from a 7.5, any ideas guys?

18mpg to 22mpg i reckon. Probably more likely to be on the 20’s though as furniture removals don’t tend to be too heavy.
If it is nearly new with a 6 speed box I would expect about 20m.p.g.how long is a piece of string, are you going to overload and fear vosa or just carry a few boxes? If you are buying the diesel then really inflate the tyres, every little helps.
You will need to factor in the following :-
15 gallons of diesel
2 bacon sarnies
4 cups of tea
8 pints of Stella
1 packet Alka Seltzer
I’d do your figures on 15mpg. If it happens to do 17 then you’re on the right side.
