just one more question that i need answering, a driver told me that i cant drive a left ■■■■■■ if i only have a right ■■■■■■ licence, unless the indicator arm is switched from right side to the left side on the steering columb !
is this true because he is very experienced and knows everything about everything and has been everywhere and done more miles in reverse than i have done in forward gears

You’ve probably just started a new myth
Quite a number of years ago we used to pick up MAN tractor units from Dover Docks and run them to swindon, these were not fitted with fifth wheels or tachos, and we were on trade plates, we used to do 70mph and use the outside lane of the motorway, plus one on the lads only had a car license, and it was all legal…
The units were just classed as large cars, and yes we had it out with Thames Valley plod on the hard shoulder of the M4, we won
