my girl has a 05 fiesta zetec-s tdci,mint condition ,39k,[mk6 i think it is],she wants to uprate to a 09/10 fiesta zetec-s tdci[think this is a mk7],weve drove a few but none seem to have go her 05 does,strange as the mk7 is meant to have slightly more power,weve looked around and mountune do a performance kit for the mk6,think its 20/25 bhp more,i was thinking about this,£300 ish pounds,not checked with mountune if they do kit yet for mk7,just wondered if anyones had one fitted to a motor[not nessacarily fiesta]
we did [well i did] suggest a 1.6 petrol,but shes got here head screwed on,likes the £30 tax,nigh on x2 mpg of a diesel over petrol,+ never had a mimutes problem with it and it goes well to be honest.ta
all new TDCI’s are restricted in 1st and 2nd, give it a good hamering in 3rd and upwarts and you will be surprised
you can Bluefin it and lift the restrictions + a couple ponies more under the bonnet

thats maybe the difference then,the newer mk7 zetec-s tdci is restricted in the first two gears whereas the mk6 isnt,thats where it seems to lack that go here older mk6 has.

yes thats why we were looking at mountune kits,read alot about them in fast ford mags,found out tim norton at oakham is a local agent for mountune,also deals in fords,so not far away so ill have a ride down and have a word with him about it.ta
