Pimpdaddy:
Here here yet again ol’ bill go & prove to some of us what complete bell ends they really are. Instead of working promptly to ensure the carriageway is reopened forthwith they have time to set up shop & play happy snappy with motorists-absolute tossers in my eyes. Now some ‘professional drivers’ risk losing their jobs if their employers get wind of the occurrence, all because of some stupid cop whose got too much time on his/her hands…
So you think its prefectly acceptable for HGV drivers to be slowing to a crawl on a live motorway and taking pictures do you?
Quite frankly anyone doing that deserves to loose there job and ther licence.
Hardly think one person setting up a camera van would have any bearing on how quickly the or slowly the carriageway is reopend but might just provide the key it of evidence should there be another colision because some half whitt is to buisy taking pictures to look where there going
When police arrive at an RTA, they should set up a video camera facing the opposing carriageway. Anybody caught taking videos/pictures should be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice and or points on their license.
I was on the A55 one day and traffic started backing up. I was in the outside lane. A car drew up alongside in the slow lane and cut in front of me. He immediately wound down the window, got his phone out and when we got to the accident proceeded to virtually stop to take some lovely holiday snaps. I guess people need something to put on Facebook.

I’m sure that’s what the East German Stasi or the 1950’s Soviet Union would have said to our criticisms of their covert surveillance of their citizens and their use of hidden recording devices.

I think it’s perfectly acceptable to go about your own business & not worry about what others are doing when there’s an incident at hand that needs dealing with as a matter of urgency. Coming to a crawl to rubberneck is caused by car drivers & that’s a fact, it’s not rocket science taking a picture whilst driving now is it, if you don’t want people to see either install shields or hurry up & clear the mess …!?

The motorway slowing to a crawl is cause by people slowing down to take pictures, stoping such occurences is very much the polices buisness it doenst take evey officer in the area to deal with an RTC, one or two can be spared to deal with people doing stuipd things thats liable to cause further accidents
Thankfully po-lice numbers are being cut, hopefully they’ll get their priorities straight & deal with more pressing issues rather than trivial ■■■■ like people taking pics…!
hurrying up to clear the mess isnt always possibe, esp when the incident is fatal or life changing as the familys or drivers involved want to know whats happend, whos to blame etc etc. its amazing how many ppl slow and gorp whilst ya recovering stuff off the roads… ive actually seen sum one put there car in a field cause they were watching a recovery, quite funny that they ended up bin recoved themselvs
I wonder if they sent a letter out to the photographer responsible for the pic on the left as its taken on the motorway from the other carriageway?
And even thoughcameras arn’t usually allowed in NHS hospitals someone managed to grab the snap of her in hospital (on the right)before she returned home to Eire.
