What is it with some of them who think there ok to undertake you and if you don’t give them enough room they look back over there shoulder and give you the coffee beans,I had one do it to me today when he came up the inside to take a slip road off the m60 what made me laugh was the instructor High viz he was wearing,I think the overhead signs with think bike make them feel invincible and everyone should get out of there way.
Ah yes, motorcyclists,
Or as a good doctor friend of mine calls them …“organ donors”
Good motorcyclists
Bad motorcyclists
Good lorry drivers
Bad lorry drivers
Good cyclists
Bad cyclists
Good bus drivers
Bad bus drivers
And the list goes on … Nothing to see here, move along people
I like motorcylists, whilst Im cocooned in my nice comfy cab I do everything I can to assist them in their highspeed shenanigans.
The nimbless and speed they have is only matched by their vunerability, always give em room whenever possible, not easy as they are so quick and usually long gone before I have chance to do stuff.
In the hands of a proficient operator a motorbike is a pleasure to be around as they cause little issues, but in the hands of a nutter well these folk are only one wrong move away from being scrapped up with a large wet wipe.
Same for all roadusers really, although good drivers can have bad days but its very rare for a bad driver to have a good day.
Hi there from a current motorcyclist…
When I’m on the road, I get the most respect from truck drivers, you know what they will be doing and they’ll always move over if they see you.
I never pass on the left, too f—in dangerous, and never shake anything even if I am a bit miffed.
So I agree an undertake and a shake does not put us in good light, but as has been previously said, good bikers, bad bikers…
Cheers
Paul
(looking forward to a 300 mile ride home on Saturday)

This old myth again. I was chatting to my wife’s consultant the other day, he was telling me about his tour of Spain and Italy on his BMW bike last year.
Suppose its the same reason that most of the monkeys in wagons sit in the outside lane in the roadworks between junction 9 and 11 north bound on the M6 at night. But some (8 wheel tipper bloke) have the common to use the “hard shoulder” as it shows on the traffic signs
Not all thick that drive a truck!

Man of excellent taste. Got a 45 and a Shovel FLH meself.
i see the Matrix signs saying "think Bike " always though they should also say " biker think "
I always move over for a motorbike or leave space in front for them to overtake and pull in. Any good driver would do that.

As a biker I can only agree. The same with cycling. Being in the right is no good to you if you’re dead. Ride as if everyone is trying to kill you. If you’re approaching a junction be aware that a car may pull out and be prepared to stop or evade.
Pet hate is the jealous motorists who won’t move over a foot or two to let you squeeze through in heavy traffic.
GSXR1100 for me 23 years old and still give the young uns a run for their money (the bike not me)
Undertake ,overtake who cares, lumbering piece of crap.
Long as you realise the bloke behind the wheel is a total ■■■■■■ and be ready for “any” manouver then just give him the finger as you pass.
Even a bloody Harley can out perform some 700 bhp crap from the lights.
Just keep away from the “dingos”
regardless of what i am driving, i apply the same rule to a biker behind me. move over as much as i can and signal to him/her to pass with a couple of winks on the left indicator or right arm out of the window to wave them past. this way i am in control and i know exactly what they are doing and when (assuming they go for it) and most of them recognise the gesture and give a thanks for making their overtake as safe as possible

You have a serious attitude problem.
Im an argumentative ■■■■■■■■■■■ far from perfect, but you take it too another level.
All ive seen from you this past couple weeks is having a pop at lorries on the road and in laybys(on a TRUCK forum!),more left wing nonsense than you can shake a guardian at and now this.
You need to chill out a bit man. I used to be like you but this forum can actually be quite fun if you calm down a bit and pick your battles

To be fair I think Bking fixes trucks for the non profit sector of transport (EG: supermarkets) where the title of “■■■■■■” can be applied to drivers in a good many cases.
As for Harley Davidsons whats the attraction with them?

Mates doing just that in May, also on his BMW. He wanted me to go but my Daytona 675 was never built for touring!!! Would love to though if I had an appropriate bike…Or was a bit younger
