Never had one surprisingly, noticed bike felt weird on way to mates , got there and could see rear tire was nigh on flat , what looked like small nail , I had to leave bike as had to go to airport ( wife picked me up ) .
I came back to this , done by rac ( part of Kawasaki warranty , told mate it was a temporary repair to get me to garage , I’ve never seen a repair like that ( had a few cars done ) , it looks a bodge , so I’m assuming I’ll need a new tire , would you cut that piece that’s pronounced from tire before riding to garage , or will it fall straight off

I bought second hand Fazer years ago.
Had it few years took it for MOT it needed 2 new tyres which I paid for. Fella went suprise you haven’t had a blow out.
He said never use temporary sealant on a motorbike puncture.. shown me old tyre all full of white stuff
Said I haven’t must been previous owner. Was told am lucky as not designed for bikes and high risk of getting a blowout

I’d repair a tyre on a moped, anything larger or faster not a chance! Fix a car tyre by all means, if it blows you still have three more left to attempt to come to a safe stop. NEVER on a performance motorcycle.

That’s a last resort, please get me to the garage type repair, not I’ll go via the track beforehand.small puncture = new tyre, big puncture = new tyre.
Im suprised they didn’t just take it to get a new tire fitted moaster , it’s only a mile ish to garage so I’ll pop it down this week

I’m not keen on going out on it full stop acorn never mind to the track with that repair , bit of a shame as only done 1300 miles , life I guess
That theory works if the necessary tyre is available. Couple of years ago one of my cars (Merc) had a puncture, repair kit that is supplied was no good as the tyre wall was split. RAC took car to main dealer and it sat there for four days as they could not source a new tyre.
The Suzuki RD 500, nicknamed the rocket ship and the FZR 750 and the FZR 1000 Genesis range.
There is no stock of that size tire anywhere , so no idea what will happen now
Did take it out for a spin ( against my better judgment) as I was so pissed off seeing it stood there doing nothing whilst the sun was out .
