Do you think overtaking doesn’t exist at the TT? Leaders can get held up by back markers in the latter stages.
Funny, one of the best ever motorcycle road racers was killed racing a 125 in the wet.

Has anyone watched the film ‘Road ‘ about the Dunlop family btw?
Even if bikes are not your thing I’d definitely recommend it to motorsport fans.
What has that got to do with the video whingeing about a lack of continuous overtaking and position changing ?.
There’s a difference in catching and passing a slower machine with both racing against the clock.Just like Le Mans. The overtake isn’t the object of the competition.Just the lap times or the distance covered in the given time.Overtaking is just a necessary nuisance it’s not the object of the competition.
Then I obviously would never have needed or bothered with that MSA speed licence just like I never needed or bothered with a race licence.
For the avoidance of any doubt I only dabbled with Hill Climbs and Sprints at amateur club level. Then withdrew in the knowledge that there was no way that I could afford to throw the type of resources at it that it would take to be proper competitive.
You’ll see plenty of references to the end of road spec cars being driven to events and being competitive at any serious level.Even if I could have afforded a Le Mans spec V12 motor or two on a drivers’ wage contributing to the household budget.Circuit racing for position wouldn’t have made that any easier and definitely wouldn’t have been as much fun.
I’ve never had any interest in bikes but I like the speed challenge of the TT.No interest whatsoever in Moto GP.Just like F1 v Le Mans.
My bet is when a slower competitor is caught and needs to be passed the only thought is how much time will this overtake cost. Not how much of a spectacle the overtake provides the spectators let alone if somehow the overtake is then somehow reversed by the slower bike which by definition would be the end of that lap time.
