I have lost my car MOT certificate. Can i take it to the garage to have a MOT without the paper work ? Thanks in advance.
Will the garage need to see it ?

If it still has a while until it expires You can get a duplicate from any MOT station with the vehicle registration and your V5 document number, costs a tenner. If it’s just renewal time you don’t need the old certificate to get a new MOT.

Yes you can take it to the garage for an MOT without the old certificate. Its all computerized. They wont even look at the old one.
