Most relaxed companies to work for

In 9 years for stobarts I’ve only had 2 issues worth planners. Both on the general haulage side. One was a child who probably didn’t understand at the time that drivers tend to have a sense of humour failure on a Saturday morning. The other was a planner who questioned why i needed a break.

The only dealings i have with the office now is to deal with the half witted fleet department. I can’t talk about them as i haven’t had my medication yet this morning.

Although as I posted earlier I rarely hear from the office I wouldn’t say my job is relaxed.
We are busy but to be fair the day fly by

And WTF does “marra” mean?

Ha ha it’s a northern term m8

I see, just like keeping pigeons in your back yard.

I think it has come from ‘Marrow’ Muckster.

Some folk up here really love their veg mate. So addressing someone by using your beloved vegetable is a term of endearment.

As in calling someone a plum? That’s a fruit though, so that’s a fruit based insult

I worked for a company in Skelmersdale and lasted three weeks , it wasn’t that they kept ringing , it was that I was pulled in the office three times for not ringing in enough!! I kid you not the shift manager at the time wanted me to phone in a minimum of every 15 minutes sooner if I seen say for instance someone changing a tyre on the hard shoulder because he said it gave the office a picture of what was going on on the ground and this kind of incident could lead to delays later on !!!
Absolute fool he was !!

I hear pulling boxes for “Marrowtime” is quite easy…
…Unless your route takes you under low bridges or you have no concept of stopping distances.
