Most annoying driving habits that really get your back up!

albion1971:
Oh yes and what really annoys me is drivers that slag others when they do not have much of a clue themselves.

What is it with you■■? Every opportunity you dig and niggle at everyone and anyone :unamused: Some posts wind me up and niggle me but I wouldn’t stress myself about it - I think you really ought to think about posting cus you will do yourself some personal health harm.

If you are so laid back I would suggest you stay there and let us get on in the real world :imp:

Lorrys doing 40 mph on the a75 and when u go to go pass them they speed up

I see you have encountered the dive bombers.Former Japanese Kamikaze pilots maybe.?
Ex second world war tank commanders that peer out an inch wide gap of snow on the windscreen.
Or have enough snow on their roof to compete with Colorado.

funny you should say that as i have allways likened cars to WW2 fighters and us hgv drivers the bombers because we are slow and they take advantage of it zipping here and there at speed

These new led running lights, utterly ridiculous. As with fog lights.

Drivers not indicating their desired route around or exit from, a roundabout.

Do you mean those migraine inducing lights in roadworks on the motorway?

def this.
and any improper use of lights :smiling_imp:

Another lorry stranding you in lane 2 or holding you there when you have just let them out of a slip road. Why not just take a k or two off and let me back in

It’s unbelievable how many vehicles drive with just their side lights on after dark ( now that it’s dark at 4pm )

Now that REALLY pi$$es me off big time

Side lights on after dark;Only silver or black cars do this.
Or no lights on.

There seems to be a lot of cars with only one headlamp working. They whizz up the middle lane to overtake you in the slow lane, but get all upset when you pull out to overtake the supermarket wagon… I’ve NEVER seen plod or Vosa pulling someone over because they had a light out… So? - Everyone has taken it as a “free for all” that it’s “ok to run without replacing blown lamps”… Then a cyclist gets killed, and we all get blamed for being useless all over again. ARRRRRGH!

Count yourself lucky you don’t drive in the day OP, you can multiply the muppetry by about 50 compared to nights.

That’s why I’m on nights. I don’t know how you day drivers cope with it.
Occasionally, I’m held up and find myself running back in along the M6/M5 at around 5, 5.30am. It’s like someone throws a switch at 5 o’clock: one minute all the idiots are in bed asleep, the next minute, they’re all on the road chopping across three lanes to get to their junction and putting their makeup on at 75mph. I wouldn’t go near a truck during the day now.

OK so they are naughty for having only one headlight, but you knew that when you deliberately pulled out in front of them didn’t you? Just like when you pretend not to see a car with no headlights in pouring rain …

truck drivers keeping a safe braking distance between them and then getting annoyed when I need to use the space to move to lane 1 to exit the motorway.
I have to move across at some point, wether it is on the mile marker the half mile marker or the hundred yards markers.

Fog lights on, fronts and back when visibility is over 100 metres. A fog light “flash” has no response at all.

Why are you out in the middle lane so close to your junction? I don’t start overtaking anything if I’m within two or three miles of where I’m leaving the motorway, or even if I think I might be.

Too many to mention, but my favourite is the ignorant full-beam clowns. If you need your full beam on in fine weather conditions on a motorway then in the interests of everybody’s safety it’s probably best you’re not let loose on our nation’s roads.

Doesn’t make any difference to how far before the junction I am, at some point I need to get into lane one.

that say’s it all!
if you got yourself in the right lane well before the junction you would not need to be pushing in at the last minute
