Looks like it seems to be on the up for me…!

The agency that placed me at Bargain Booze has also managed to book me on with Hermes the delivery company fr a few days. (Today, Saturday and Monday)

So far today it was a 6 AM start and went from the depot in Crewe to a sub-courier in Birkenhead where there was 5 pallets of Next clothing to go out for delivery and now waiting for the back load!

Lovely 60 plate DAF auto, dream to drive.

All going well so far!

Which agency are you using, is it in Crewe?
I was booked for Culina in Market Drayton last night, when I got there I was told there had been a mix up and was not needed - bit angry as I had turned down a shift with a different agency to do the Culina, so ended up with nothing. Didn’t help that O2 network was disrupted and could not use my phone :cry:

This was through DriverHire in Crewe.

I owe a lot to Sharon and Martin there, being young and inexperienced they have worked hard to get me in to places and have really come up!!

I had that last week, did one days work with this firm and I thought the gearbox was on its way out but I coped, the guy who was on it next day (I couldn’t do the next day) took it one junction down the motorway and took it straight back. They tried to change the gearbox overnight but hadn’t finished by the time I got there so was sent home. Did get 2 hours pay for the faff though!

I would charge them 8 hours for this…

If you didn’t turn up when you said you would , would you expect them to pay you? So when you do and it’s their mistake you need paying. End of. You did as asked and lost another shift owing to their incompetence…

No way would I let that go…
