Limper gets injured at work. I don’t see anything there about damages for the driver unless I missed it

Damages/compensation are nothing to do with the criminal trial for breaches of H&S legislation. That matter will be dealt with separately by a civil court.

If a company is found guilty of criminal negligence then a civil court will normally (always?) take that as being proven enough to award damages.
If a company is charged with criminal negligence and not found guilty, then a civil court can still try the case, and may decide to award damages. Criminal cases are tried to higher “beyond reasonable doubt” rather than “balance of probabilities” in a civil case.
After a guilty verdict in a criminal case the civil one should be quicker, easier, and cheaper for the injured party.
Knowing they’d now lose a civil case the company/insurance should pay out straightaway now, even if they haven’t already.
