Escorted but no further action taken, Would’nt be the case if a motorist had driven down hard shoulder.

No lights and ■■■■■■ down with rain, probably after one of those Darwin awards
I’m waiting for this cyclists youtube video pointing out how all the other vehicles where driving far too fast and splashing him whilst shouting out their registration numbers.
That said i think the police where a bit harsh calling him a ‘dummy’, as he may just not have been aware of the highway code which puts him in the same bracket as a lot of cyclists with no experience of driving other vehicles.

I think they should’ve used “mentally retarded” to describe him.
He was a dummy (if not an unaware foreigner; still, no excuse) as any normal 4 year old wouldn’t take their bike down the motorway… OK it would be harder for a tot to do it but they should know it’s wrong or might be able to guess something wasn’t right. Plus the police correctly called him a dummy in the safe knowledge they won’t be sued for libel (they didn’t actually identify him so they could deny it was him they were referring to anyway).
I once experienced a cyclist riding in front on the hard shoulder, while it was a running lane, on the M6!

Dark foggy mornings, cyclists dressed all in black with no lights etc…no action
