Another weekend in Italy!!!

French side of the Blanc

Now where could this possibly be■■?

Deepinvet. Unigate bought a company called Hargrave in Spalding on the Horseshoe Road site and Wincanton did the haulage. The livery was similar to the pictures.Mostly hanging pig in and loads of dolavs out of there.
Are Hargrave International a separate company?

Ok, excuse my ignorance but WTF are / is a DOLAV?

A Dolav is a plastic container, bin, appx 1 metre cube which hold off cuts etc.

I thought Turners of Soham took them over?

When i was doing Greece i met a Hargrave driver in Patras, around 2002, driving a 95, nice bloke he was too, we had a few beers while waiting for our boats.
I seem to remember he had his thumb and forefinger amputated (or maybe kind of deformed), We had a laugh and a chat for a couple of hours. He was telling me when we were walking to our trucks how he had to keep chasing the immigrants off his truck, i said yeah, the Union Jack wasnt a good idea for Patras, he said the big problem he had was that they climb up the back of his cab and hide themselves between the roof and spoiler, sure enough when we got to his truck we saw just a slight piece of clothing hanging over the back of the roof, we shouted and banged on the cab but he didnt move, so he said ‘ok, POLICE POLICE!!’ Next thing this scraggly kid jumped down and was running across the dock and dived back through the gap in the fence that he’dno doubt entered through. I allways think of that when i see a Hargraves truck.
