Moran Logistics

Where did Moran Logistics appear from is it someone that has rebranded or someone that has been taken over by someone else??

They’re in and out of the place next door to us all the time and that’s an Arla depot with PCL doing the transport. Don’t know if that really helped you though.

Pretty sure Moran took over from 3663.

I went to 3663 in Hoddesdon on monday to find that they are now called bidvest

You’ll find a mixture of Bidvest and 3663 livery working out of the same depots Lizard. Been that way for years. Not 100% sure but I think Bidvest are 3663’s parent company. Or it could be the other way round!

I think Bidvest is the parent company. You can also see their name on the side of OnTime recovery wagons.

I worked for them about a year ago, and since then I’ve been spotting there units, Volvo FM with Moran in the light up bit above the windscreen. Most of the trailers were plain white then, they seem to have got new trailers, or signed the ones they had.

They’re like TRG - basically an agency with their own trucks.

No they’re not Rob.

Ken.

Moran Logisitics are owned by one Harry Moran.

They’re a Leicester based outfit, who as well as having employees, also have they’re own agency, but also use outside agencies.

They do a hell of a lot of work for Arla, mostly out of Leeds.

Their FM Volvos are in the main, ex Sainsbury’s, (And tracked.) but the fleet of 62 plate FH’s they have, are/were all Salford/Arla motors, now in their care, as are some of the trailers, but not all. They also have spot hire motors.

If you want easy work, then forget it, and unless you like silly o’ clock starts, then forget it also. The job is not for the shirkers.

Rumour machine now quashed.

Ken.

I am on for them! Operating centres in Lichfield Leeds and Manchester
Plenty of hours and are recruiting in all 3 locations!!
Owned by Harry Moran

they also run out of arla at ashby de la zouch at the moment, but its just been reported on the bbc that ashby is closing in the next 12 months.

They have MAN, Volvo FM and the odd DAF running into Westbury ARLA three or four times a day. Seen them parked in a yard off the A45 too.

What do they do then, just milk? Seen them pull McDonald trailers when I’ve been up north…!?

Yes they are. All the drivers are on the agency (I forget the name) which they own = they’re an agency with their own trucks. It’s all moot anyway as they’re a ■■■■ company with ■■■■ trucks that are illegal and ■■■■ work to go with it. I told the transport bod to go ■■■■ himself when he ordered me to drive a wagon with no working seatbelt, 3 bulbs out, bald tyre and front nearside corner damage with indicator lense smashed. It’s a real cowboy outfit. Ask for a defect sheet and watch it go straight in the bin as soon as you walk out of the door. :bulb:

Those Mcdonalds trls were Arla Ashbys as that was where the milk was produced at for Mcdonalds, its now done at Stourton, same as the double decker trls they were used on the Spar out of Ashby, now used by Moran. The agency used to be called ARM, I think they have had a big helping hand offa Arla  as they have sprung up from noware

Ken…You’re wrong. K is always right…So there.

If you want easy work, then forget it,

I found it one of it one of the easiest jobs I’ve done. 1 or 3 stops a day, at easy to find RCDs, Maybe I got lucky.

One of their wagons took out the exit barrier at Symintons the other day! Oops

currently a.r.m or moran are advertising for drivers on gov website to run out of woodville
