Montracon door fault

Took out a new Montracon trailer and car behind me flashing his lights like a mad man :open_mouth: so pulled in and the back drivers side door had opened on its own :unamused: :unamused:

This is the second time this has happened to me now ! Just wondered if its a common problem.?

If it is why not fit a dog clip to the door ,to stop it…? :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Why not carry a dog clip and put it on :bulb: . . . just in case. :stuck_out_tongue:

Is it a 2 handle or 1 handle door?

Had that years ago so I had 2 dog clips on a 18in chain. Clipped both doors so even if they both opened they couldn’t go far.

Hate those bloody things, the corner poles are far too heavy ( I wouldn’t like a smack in the face off them on a windy day) the straps always slacken off when running, and at the same time unless you soak the straps in WD40 they won’t pull down to adjust or secure. Also if the air goes down through night the trailer brake comes on, which is OK until you are parked tight into a wall or worse a thorny dyke (no jokes please I said thorny not ■■■■■ ) and have to crawl under the bloody thing.

Its a 1 handle door.

Its a 1 handle door.

Just hook like I said clips on a chain one on each door
