One of our drivers was a couple of hours from the Mont Blanc tunnel when the gantry signs all came on announcing that the tunnel was closed. He diverted via Frejus.
Apparently it is some type of protest action and is expected to last for days rather than hours. Anyone have any info? I’m going to Italy next week.

I now a load of Boyles blokes were very close to the Blanc when they got diverted to Frejus, then there was an accidet approaching Frejus so they lost something like 6 hours all told!!
Harry, was that you coming across from Gent on Wednesday afternoon, Black Fleetwood FH, LHD, pulling an Ex Somerfield Box??
I was heading down on monday night and arrived at the check point around 1am the tunnel was shut until 6am so i just parked up at the checkpoint at the bottom
other than that I never heard of any problems

No that wasn’t me, mine is an identical truck but RHD and I’m sorry to say I was on UK work last week.
