Just read a topic about Moffet trailers and it reminded me about a trailer I have seen recently. It was a bulk tipper, with a Moffet on the back?
Any ideas?
I know pointons own some of these. They are for abattoirs without forklifts so you can load the carcasses your self.
Since we are talking moffets …I saw one of the extra long trailers that are being trialled with a moffet on it,actually it was in our workshop ,obviously it is legal but it adds even more length to the trailer …I thought they where just trialling the trailer at it’s length without the add on …obviously wrong
That’s going to be a long motor! but i would think it would track better than a standard trailer carrying a moffet, at least it has to have a steering rear axle, parked mine next to one of those new trailers at 3663 Paddock Wood a couple of weeks ago, mines slightly longer (ooh err missus!) the overhang on my trailer is much longer!
ashbyspannemanwhen I first saw it I thought it must be illegal ,But obviously not .but it is a fair length wit the moffet…he rear steer helps obviously

It does seem to be pushing it a bit! they’re trialling these new length trailers, then to stick a moffet on the back as well seems a bit cheeky!
cheeky but they are getting away with it …I will try and get a cheeky snap when it is next in .I thought when they brought in the trailer that was the max length
in fact I think it was Sheffield insulation or one of their other brands that had it
I’ll keep a look out for it!
bugcos. Thanks. I just could not work out why?
