Hi,
I’ve got module 1, 2 and 4 but they were obtained with a pcv test
would i need to resit them or could i carry them forward to my hgv licence? they’re all in date and i have the certification.

I assume you have a cpc card. Look at the back of that and then it should tell mine just has cpc for hgv rather than psv.
If you have not got them then you will have to do it again I presume

I’m not sure what you’re asking, are you thinking of having HGV training or are you asking if the initial CPC for PCV will count as periodic training for HGVs.
You had acquired rights for the HGV CPC, so if you’re having HGV training then your best bet would be to find a training company who’s courses are JAUPT approved, this way the HGV training could get you up-to about 28 hours towards your 35 hours periodic training.
If you’re asking if your Initial CPC qualification for PCVs will count for the initial CPC for HGVs the answer is that mods 2 and 4 would not count for HGVs, as you have acquired rights to HGV CPC it makes no difference to you.

Unless you already have LGV C1 on your licence you will need to do initial LGV DCPC modules 2 & 4
You will also need to do LGV modules 1a theory + 1b HPT + 3 practical on road drive / reverse

i do have c1 on my licence. so thats mod 2 and 4 sorted
its just my hgv theory and hazard perception.

Its only sorted if the DQC has LGV on it
- if its not then you have the CHOICE of doing either mod 2 + 4 tests or 35 hours periodic training
If not got LGV on DQC then you can get some LGV trainers who have the practical training approved for LGV DCPC hours so some of the 35 can be gained that way
All this is assuming you got the C1 by passing car test before 1997 and if that is the case then why did you do mods 2 & 4 for PCV when you could have done the 35 hours which would have covered both PCV & LGV ?
I should have done this by asking questions …
Do you have a pre 1997 car licence or did you pass a DVSA LGV C1 test ?
I know you did mods 2 & 4 for PCV but have you completed 35 hours dcpc periodic training ?
