Module 4

so I have submitted my protest against the dcpc and booked onto my module 4 after passing the mod2 (by the way what a joke of an exam that is).

you never know I may even end up back on the road if I can get out of bed at silly times of the day/night.

is it a walk round check etc. as per the manual as for my near on £200 I have been told I get 4 hours training  also they seem to think a dcpc taken on a 7.5 will cover me for my class 1 is this correct?

thanks in advance

thanks just a shame my work pc wont play sound

will watch them tonight when I get in - just seems strange a 7.5t will get my dcpc for class 1 for this.

It is an LGV Mod4 not a specific LGV category mod4 which is why doing it with any LGV covers it

Have you checked out the mod 4 video sticky

being honest rog I haven’t my main query was the 7.5 covering class 1 the walk round checks and security I reckon I could pass now without training (same as I did with the mod 2), I get the training as part of what I paid (again I think its so they can charge more but hey ho) I may as well take it.

thanks for the replys lads its appreciated.

My lad passed it a month ago no trouble with just a few hours training and he’s never driven a truck other than his week course and test. Hardest part is remembering to say everything you’re doing instead of not saying owt because its one of those common sense things you take for granted like making sure park brake is on before you get out the wagon to start loading/tipping. He said the examiner looked bored to tears, I reckon you’ve got to be completely useless to fail it.

that was my perception of the module 2 exam - one of the questions had a mixer truck and the question was which 2 part rotate through 360’

In theory, could you turn up to the Mod 4 CPC test in a 7.5t for LGV, and a 15 seat minibus for PCV?

Check the government website for the type of vehicle that you have to bring. I suspect the 7.5t has to have a box on the back.
