I know there is a good YouTube video on this
But do people generally not bother with the pre test lesson or pay up for it? Seems like silly money for it at 200/250 quid all in.
I did my module 4 last Tuesday and just watched the 40 min you tube video a few times and studied the questions you can print off the net www.flairtraining.co.uk/PDF/cpcpart4questions.pdf
I passed with 95%
So I wouldn’t recommend paying for lessons.

Most do about 1 hour of training prior to test and its worth paying for that hour just in case you have misunderstood something
Hi mate,
Suppose it depends on the individual and how much “real world” experience you have had, if you are feeling confident then go for it!
I didn’t have to pay for mine (work did) so did the training anyway and I can honestly say that the only benefit over and above the YouTube vids for me was being able to have a play wit the restraining trolley & devices.
Ratchet strap and the load tension bar are quite straight forward, the chain & tensioner can be a bit tricky if you have never used one before. I ask my instructor what his pass rate was like for mod 4 and his reply was he has only ever had one person fail and that was on not being able to use the chain & tensioner properly… Having sad that there is only a 3 in 8 chance that you will get a set of questions requiring you to demonstrate these at all.
As Rog has said though it’s probably worth having a brush up before hand in case you have misunderstood anything and it’s a good opportunity to re-familiarise yourself with the ancillary vehicle controls, locations of the calibration stickers etc. for when you have to show this as part of the vehicle checks.
Thanks for the responses.
I will probably just pay for it, annoyingly but oh well Once it’s done it’s done.
On another note I have received my digital tachograph card.
is it just CPC card, tachograph card and standard driving license needed to drive hgv as an occupation?
Cheers

And a driver as well as a lorry
I have passed my mod 4 with 100% after watching this video few times. I wouldn’t bother with lessons. It is really easy stuff, all common sense.
All I have left now is Mod 4 (Passed the cpc case study 47 out of 50 yesterday). Just need somewhere to do it now, Not sure what the asking price is to hire a lorry and the walk around test cost.
Been watching hat video and now I will print of that link you put up as that is helpful.
Once passed, then time to apply for jobs/look around for a job. Hope people allow new drivers who are under 25 years!
