THATS A BRILLIANT COLLECTION,SOMETHING I WOULD DREAM OF HAVING ONLY I’D RATHER 1/50 BUT I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU
AS I SAID I’D LOVE A DEPOT LIKE YOURS…EXCELLENT
YOUR FLEET LOOKS SIMILAR TO THE WALTONS FLEET OF KILKENNY
WHRE MY FATHER WAS BORN…
DEREK WHAT SCALES ARE YOUR TRUCKS
I HAVE ORDERED SOME 1/50 AND 1/24 SCALE DECALS OF WWW.DECALPRINT.COM
1/87 1/50 1/24 SCALES ALL ON IT SCANIA,VOLVO,DAF ETC ALL CATERED FOR…WELL WORTH A VISIT
I had a couple of Transits and an 814 flat in a previous business painted in the same colours ! It also looks likely that project X will sport the same livery .
Sad I know but I always liked black motors. It stemmed from seeing Transam’s motors as a boy, all lined up in the old yard at Diss.
NO THE BLACK LOOKS WELL,I DID A FEW UP IN WALSH WESTER EVEN THOIGH I HAD SOME ALREADY AND THE SAME WITH MY OWN NAME,AND I STILL WANT TO DO ANOTHER FEW,BUT WILL HAVE TO GET MORE SETS DONE UP
STRAIGHT EIGHT:
that Malcom 111s a lovely model, very nice indeed. Wasnt the real thing a day cab??
Hi Straight Eight
Thank you very much for your kind comment!
The model is of a wagon that Malcolms have recently restored - it currently has a sleeper cab, but as far I know the cab was peviously on another vehicle - so the original may well have been a daycab.
I have some pics of the real DHS 71T taken at the Ayrshire Road Run last year - will post later.
Cheers
Ryan
Hello every one this is my first post on here, just discovered this site last week. I have posted a couple of photos of my models. Some of you will know me from the Truck Model World forum.

Where do Malcoms keep finding these good cabs!!! Seem to remember seeing a pic of 71T when it was shunting (with several other 111s) for malcoms, most of’em were day cabs and the gearboxes were locked-in to low range. this was in the late 90s, and i believe that they had recently brand new cabs fitted at that time. I like the Malcom livery, one of the smartest on the road. Keep up the good work, loverly model.
