Hi all a model of my mates F10 which he restored for the show circuit !
The truck now sports the headboard too !
As usual Jimmer, wow!
I’m loving the battery box clips and the attention to detail at the back of the cab.
Getting there Andrew… looking good…
Keep going Jim you’ll eventually get something you’re fairly happy with

CRACKING MAN MODEL MATE , JUST A QUICK QUESTION , WHAT COLOUR DID YOU USE ON THE REAR WINGS , WAS AIRBRUSHED OR HALFORDS SPRAY CANS ■■?

Although I am not a truck modeller per se, I built these for my model railway but thought some of these might be of interest, they are all 1:76 scale.
First up Blue Circle Leyland Bison. It is an Oxford Diecast chassis, RTI cab with a modified RTI body
On display with Scammell Routemann, which is a Langley cab on an EFE chassis and scratchbuilt body
Bedford KM. RTI cab, scratchbuilt chassis, body leftover from the Bison and chopped to length
Model lorries are model lorries, I like to see them all
My latest scratchbuild, Leyland Bison for the NCB:
Try to ignore my terrible attempt at rope and sheet, I’m a railwayman by trade, not a lorry driver
cheers
Ian

Sorry missed this… Its Tamiya XF63 German Grey, brushed on
Right the weather is warm enough for me to get some paint on my efforts, so I am working on the F12 and tilt again at long last, but I need some advice…
I’ve got some plasticard too build side boxes, a belly tank and possibly running tanks on the unit. I’ve used a couple of those big torch batteries as a form for the belly tank and have wrapped the plasticard around them, but the join was sticking out a bit, so I’ve taped the join and taped it to a block of wood with the joint against the wood. How will I keep it in shape when I remove the form and how will I stick it together? I’ve used grooved plasticard to help it bend easily, but it goes egg shaped when I remove the form.
Also the side boxes, how do I get the effect of a door, I thought about making a box then applying thin strips of plasticard around the edge and then a square piece inside them to give it a seam around the edges, is this a good way, or is there a better/easier way?
TIA.
Chippy Adams Iveco I did this model for him end of last year, he kindly lent it to me for Gaydon
Many Thanks Chippy !!
Hope I’ve not put this on before !
These were awe-inspiring models, seeing them ‘in the flesh’ so to speak. The detail was phenomenal. Robert
