Don’t know his name but he’s in letterkenny and he makes cars too that’s all I know and yes this is my first build that’s why I want to do a build from a standard kit

GERRY RONANS TRUCK

Here’s a link to his Facebook page facebook.com/pages/124-Scal … ts&fref=ts

my advice start with a daf xf 105 kit no engine easy kit to build for a beginner a lot of european great looking dafs colour wise around, and as you get more experienced at the modelling then try a harder build, but thats up to you do, something like this i mean i know its a xf106 but look at the paint + lettering but looks great

yes i know him patrick

makes great models,sound man

Nice idea but I want to put as much details in to it as I can and I was thinking about doing Dixon’s volvo fh3 instead if I can’t do a 143

Like this one it’s a very easy lorry to get photos of and its very simple

Some super work there TOPRUN great idea with the cola bottle, when scratchbuilding never chuck anything out until you have a good look and think about it!!!. Eddie.

Are you still scratchbuilding erf guy

thanks eddie I’m a recycle modeller lol glad you like them, the m3 volvo isn’t available as a kit yet irish lorries you’d have to buy a transkit www.A&Nmodeltrucks.com from Andrey Myakotkin he is on Facebook to, i did a few great quality resin, you then need to buy a italeri fh16 kit cut up front of cab, to instale panel of transkit to also change interior as well

as the old saying goes walk before you can run irish lorries resin is not really for a lad that hasn’t built a kit before

Your right but I thought you did get a fh3 kit think I would just do the 143

Hi Irishlorries This is what I am on with at the moment its a 1953 COMMER with Miles bodywork and has the old fashioned escape ladders on a carriage the rounded front on the Commer and the high odd shaped roof were done by building up layers off plasticard and then sanding it down. The ladders are a bit of a pain as trying to keep them straight is not easy. But all good fun. Eddie.

Very nice you put alot of detail into your models

Good stuff there Gerry. I remember the coke bottle powder tanker. I was thinking about getting one of those Kamaz kits from Andrey I know he put loads of work into them but the price is very high. I saw the one that Peter built for the mag and liked what I saw. I used to see them all over the place when I was doing Kazakhstan and China, and have been dragged out the ditch more than once by some of them.

Eddie that a good looking Commer your putting together. I’ve done a few ladders in my time and tried a few methods, the solvent in the glue usually throws them out of whack. Is that hose made out of solder??

Irish lorries why don’t you build a Daf 95 as your first kit, they go together really well, good for practice.

Jeff…

Thanks for the comments lads Jeff the hoses are plastic tube with Evergreen tube to make the couplings. All good fun as they say. Eddie.

eddie the comer looks great,a lot of detail going into it coming on well, irish lorries the volvo with the crane is a m3 volvo thats the transkit 1 i was talking about,if i was you just pick a model and get started, and remember test fit every part before glue goes near it and just ask if you need help, thanks for the comments jeff,

Torun I think that’s what I’m gonna do I’m gonna go to my local model shop and see what they got

By the way torun were are you from in ireland
