THe Heller 141 is still avaliable for around £35, i bought one a while back but compared to Italeri it is very poor quality, i actually gave up with it in the end as i got fed up with the badly moulded parts.
The Airfix/Heller 141 is a lovely little kit. It just dates back to a time before tooling techniques provide as good castings as they do today. Just look at AMT kits, you need second sight with some of them
You can come up with a nice little model with that Heller kit with a bit of work. Heres one I prepared earlier…
Great truck models there fantastic there’s lots of talented people on here anyone got any more truck pictures■■?

Love this model, My dad drove one just like it, Last wagon he had. He had given up lorry driving and was on “plates” delivering new cars when a chap he worked with talked him into having a go driving a tipper with the view of becoming a partner if it took off! It didn’t as the work dried up after they had finished extending the runway at Upper Heyford, this was in the '50s as I remember him volunteering to go to help clear up the Lynmouth floods, but nothing came of it. It would seem haulage was even a struggle back then! …Was the model a kit or scratch built?
Theres a few of these bedfords being built on the tmw forum, great to see them out in kit form
i have one of those f88s to do i bought a year or 2 back .also availabel from kfs in 1/24 scale but u need a donor volvo chassis.but some of the ones i have seen are fantastic.

Sorry for the slow reply, yes as David says, it’s the 1/24th Emhar kit built pretty much from the box then weathered. Glad you like it
started on my next 1/24 scale DAF XF
the cab is sprayed Ford Flame Red, i have painted the interior with a matt grey
before i can go much further, i need to do the decals for the livery so that the whole cab can be laquered over the top
this is the start of a 1/50 scale die cast model, the Alan Lodge 6x2 is a base model
the colour is Ford Flame Red, the same as the 1/24 scale, the interior is done with Humbrol satin red, the saets and dash trays are done in that colour to match (well, near enough) the interior of the truck it will be based on
need to get the decals sorted for this one too
That old Bedford is the business, the best I’ve seen for a long time.

Thanks for the info. It’s a bigger scale than I use normally but think I will try to get one, just for a bit of nostalgia. Will have to get focused though as I still got a Chevy half done and a Volvo not started from the '70’s.
