slowly getting back to work now, so model making will start to slow down, but last week these were built.

hope you liked them

fair play to you TC they look the part
i say your running out of space now
when are you back to work

given a few away Paul so the limited space is holding its own, just about.
Back to work in about 3 weeks, but having a week in the algarve first… well it would be rude not too

fairplay to you tc 2 great jobs there, the old peterbuilt a nice bit of chrome,i’d hate to have to polish the real one.
any probs with the scania .i have a couple of the r series to do.just finishing a streamline and a tilt to go with it.
hope to have it done in a couple of days.the tilt just has to be primed and then top coated and the declas applied
cheers.take your time getting back to work.and get a few more models in…

One issue of note to mention on the R series David, I put the cab together for spraying in chosen colour, and having not done the R series before gluesdthe 4 sides together and sprayed it, I then found out much later that the deflectors on each side did not fit right as cab glued slightly incorrectly, so beware of this, its a ■■■■■ taking it apart again to put it right and then have to touch in the paint… good luck with it.

WILL KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THIS
THANKS

DAVID

.

GREAT MODELS THERE,ALSWAYS NICE TO SEE THE OLDER STUFF I LIKE THE VINTAGE TRUCKS AND CARS

.

Thanks for the kind comments on the models the signwriting on Smiths is hand painted with a wee brush and a lot o cursing
on the Oswald one the oswald logo on the door is hand done the rest of the lettering on it was done on the computer onto
Crafty Computer Paper which is clear waterslide transfer paper unfortunatly with the yellow colour applied over the blue the blue shows through so i ended up touching in the yellow by hand. The models are made from Plasticard which comes in various thickness and is avaliable in fairly large sheets from KFS. I normally work from a photo or brochure and the only drawing I do is a side view of the cab and scale it from wheel size I work in three scales 1/24th–1/50th–1/87th I very seldom take measurments and rely on doing it by eye or if it looks right it usually is no far away. Eddie.

ARE THEY 1/50 SCALE ?
EVEN ON THE 1/24 TRYING TO PAINT ANYTHING ON IS A TEDIOUS JOB.
HAVE TO GET A NOTHER ONE OR 2 SMALL PAINT BRUSHES.

DAVID

well since ive been off work for a week, i got round to getting my finger out on my models. the seddon had a set back after painting as i droppd the cab and it split in two where i had cut it down to a day cab. once refilled and painted i started to work on the tank, converting it to a double axle setup also shortening the tank by around 2 inches and adding new bulkheads for the front and rear, also scratchbuilt ladder and walkway . have now got it painted up and have started work on making the hose trays. heres a picture of work so far…pete

Elloo Pete, Dave, Ron et al. Got here at last :unamused: There are some seriously great photos for inspiration on here.

Heres one of my latest, converted TGA and scratchbuilt trailer…

EDIT 1/24, Italeri tractor scratchbuilt trailer.

Nice models Pete and Lone
