Okay so I’ve got my Mod 4 tomorrow and my training before it. Is it possible to learn what I need to know only 2 hours before the test! Bit scared now!
Hi Alan, 2 hours is enough, just take your time and listen to your instructor, and good luck mate

Eyes and ears will be open! Best get a good nights sleep, thanks!
Remember when asked about daily checks to check for excessive exhaust smoke!! Its one of the simple things which can top up your score.
Listen to the examiner, ask him to repeat the question if needs be, they will try to prompt you anyway. Oh and use a check sheet (your trainer should give you one).
Remember to point everything out to him as well as explain. Treat him as a numpty, don’t worry about time, you’ll have plenty.
Listen to your instructor and you will be fine, its a simple show and tell test.
I did my 1 hour training on a 2-1 basis (the poor lass I trained with failed), which I was a bit miffed about to be honest but I had done plenty of revision so I wasn’t too worried about not having enough time to learn it all. If you have 2 hours that’s more than enough time. Oh and relax! You’ll be fine. A week from now you’ll receive your shiny new DQ card through the post

Genuine question. Isn’t that part of the driving test?

No. They only ask you one or two questions on the driving test.
However I did say on the mod 4 I’d check for any tyres touching with the double tyres and demonstrated! So had there of been a brick I’d have found it lol.
I asked because a thorough vehicle check is part of the first part of the Cat C test and one of the 6 themes on the first part of the Cat C+E test here in France and you get used to saying and physically demonstrating the check between twin tyres.
Thus when you do the FIMO (DCPC) you don’t go over this again.

I did physically check between the tyres. I said I was making sure the rubber wasn’t touching. I just forgot to say make sure there are no bricks.
We all make mistakes.
