Hi davy1111,
I canāt answer the whole of your question, but this topic might help you until somebody more in the āknowā comes along:

If itās either of the options above, demand your money back!! The Mod 4 test is a PRACTICAL demonstration. My parting words to candidates as they walk toward the vehicle for their test are āIf you come back without getting your hands dirty, you aint done itā. So it follows that the training is similarly āhands onā. But, as always, thereās horror stories of people being given bits of paper and expected to sort it out. Recently did a retest Mod 4 (PCV) for someone whose previous training consisted of āI know youāve never seen this bus before - had to borrow it from a mate. Have a look at these questions - youāll be fineā. And he paid Ā£200 for that.
As for all LGV training, thereās the good, the bad and the downright ugly. Mod 4 is no different.
One question thatās worth asking is ādo you have a load demonstration trolley with the 4 methods of restraintā? Any hesitation in the answer is your cue to run as fast as possible.
The pass rate is reasonably high generally (though I dont have exact figures). I know we regularly put 8 a day in and come out with 8 happy people.
Good luck with it, Pete
thanxs pete, much apprecated
