So far in my training everything went amazing, I passed my Class C, theory and hazard etc first time.
Today was my mod 4 (Which is impossible to fail ) and I made a disaster of it… I shouldn’t be allowed to talk to anyone again disaster.
Safety and security: On entering your vehicle for the first time, show me all of the practical and visual safety
checks you would make before starting the engine, which I would like you to do.
Now, for whatever reason I start walking to check the vehicle all around as if it was a daily check. The examiner is stood at the front and not moving, I walk back to ask for the question again and proceed to do my daily check.
So, I failed on missing question 2. I could argue, that I did what I was supposed to do for question 2 with question 5. But nevermind.

Why would you get out and do a walk round check when the question clearly states “On entering your vehicle for the first time, show me all of the practical and visual safety checks you would make before starting the engine, which I would like you to do.” ?
Don’t beat yourself up over it. On my mod 4 I could barely get my head around what the examiner was asking me, even after he rephrased the same question for the third time. In the end he just gave me a look which I will have to live with forever, still passed me, though only, I suspect out of pity.

I wouldnt let it bother you mate really its just a small blip, youve done the hard work,
I missed out a few things on my 4 but got through it, just nerves probably, i know the feeling once you start to doubt something on a test it can be a bit of a freefall,
Best thing next time just learn from your previous and try to take everything a bit slower etc, try to make sure you seperate and visualize each section maybe with start points like , upon entering think of 3 points of contact etc then your in the cab doing checks etc,
I asked him twice to reread the question, I didn’t want to ask a third time.
My fail was at 70%, had I done the bloody question I should have gotten about 90%.
Don’t stress it pal, you failed one part of getting on the road, and it wasn’t the hardest bit, so try to be grateful about that!
Just get it right next time mate…
I know this an old thread but I feel your pain mate. My company told me 2 weeks ago I was being put in for my cat C. Took and passed mod 2 and theory test on Monday, driver training Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. Then today mod 4 and driver test.
Let’s just say it went to hell in a hand basket, on the mod 4 when asked to demonstrate the pre engine cab checks my brain decided it didn’t want to check if the horn or wipers were working. Then I went and buggered up a perfect drive by missing a 20mph sign.

Bad luck mate. I hate tests when someone is watching you/ telling you what to do etc.
