Mod 4 fail

.

Welcome. And bad luck on the result.

But…

You have paid for quality ‘to test standard’ training and received sub standard training.

I know what I would do :bulb:

Sorry to hear about this but this is yet another case of substandard training. Who on earth is this trainer who has just put you through as his first candidate? The Mod 4 has been with us since Sept 2009 (Sept 2008) for PCV and it’s madness to think that any trainer in this position is any good.

As for the equipment, there is plenty of information about the items used and it’s possible to purchase the whole thing as a package, as we did before Mod 4 started.

So I have absolutely no time for this “trainer” and I would chase him to the ends of the earth for a refund so I could go to a decent trainer. Once again, why do we have a register of qualified, registered instructors and Accredited Training Centres if people don’t put a value on them?

Maybe this is a case that sets us apart.

Peter , agree with most of your comments , apart from the above comment, new trainers would have to start somewhere so at times there will be trainers in the position of having a 1st for something, though I wholeheartedly agree there is no excuse for poor traing and lack of equipment.

Fast forward a bit more to the end of the test and the examiner said " i really feel for you, you should of practiced with a tension bar in your training, if you had worked it you would of got 100%".

From this remark made by the examiner it would seem that overall your training was of a fairly high standard. You must even have got the first and second part of the tension bar question correct or you would not even have scored 10 for the question. It is possible that no previous candidate had ever been asked that question before or perhaps some may have got a bit lucky with it.

The actually company itself is a large well known dsa acredited training center in the south.

It would be unlikely that a company described as above would not have trained anyone else for the Mod 4 in over two and a half years since it was introduced.

To their credit they have agreed to pay for a retest for you. A pass seems on the cards for next time.

I’m glad it’s sorted for you.
