Three have removed all unlimited data usage on tethering (it’s now 1gb) for all new or upgraded contracts, so anyone with the old all you can eat data on tethering, either never upgrade or run 2 contracts
2gb
Unless you get the “One Plan” Sim Only 12 month package. £20 a month and includes 2000 Minutes, 5000 Texts as well as all you can eat data and unlimited tethering (Only plan that now offers it).
The new plans that are about £29 a month with mid range phones comes with all you can eat everything - awesome deal but does not include tethering, this isn’t an issue if you share data to a android tablet from an android phone as three cant tell the difference.
the maoster:
I’m with Vodafone, been with them years always using £10 nokias and had amazing coverage wherever I travelled. Recently got persuaded to upgrade to a Samsung S4 mini. I truly believe that this piece of crap phone has given me Tourette’s! I don’t think I’ve ever been able to have a conversation longer than 30 seconds without it dropping the call.
I do believe it is a phone and not a network problem though.
no vodafones gone to crap was with them for 14 years then the signal went crap when they started to roll out 4g . made such a fuss they released me 6 months into a 2 year contract . went to gif gaf on sim only deal £10 500 mins 500 text and 1 gig data and not one dropped call
3 Never had a problem and mobile internet is very fast.
Would avoid carphone warehouse and their talkmobile network like the plague, 2 years i have had to put up with their crap, phone has had no signal/ poor reception for most of that time.
I have just changed from 02 to Three on a monthly contract and you get 2gb per month tethering and the coverage is far better than 02 in my opinion as I was always struggling with 02 but not so now with Three.
I use the HTC m8 so I dont bother tethering that much though I have read somewhere there is a way around the limited tethering issue.
I just download Iplayer catch ups or tons of movies on the laptop in case of emergency
Changed from tesco to EE must admit I get a better reception everywhere i have been to so far on the iphone 5c £24 qiud a month, unlimited call/text and 5gb of data, was 2gb but I called up within the14 day cooling of period and says o2 where offering me 5 and could they match it, witch they did
I’m with 3, got a connection pretty much anywhere unless out in the sticks, was with o2 before then who almost always had no signal just when you needed it…
3 all the way for me, cant fault it at all, moved away from orange who charge a fortune for any sort of data plan, i pay £15 a month on the one plan sim only, unlimited data, tethering is also free, i know some mobile companies charge for that as well, and loads of minutes, also 3 have just introduced a " feel at home " plan where going abroad to certain countries costs the same as if you were at home
