Hello mate, where did you get the Barber Turnock pic from? it looks like its from a advert or something, if you get anymore it would be great to see them as I have a lot of great memories from Barbers… Thanks Sepo

It came from a batch of Atkinson factory negatives that I hold. I’ll look out some more for you.

There were only two more Barber Turnock ones in that sequence when I looked, but here they are:

These were taken on the docks in Birkenhead.

I’m sure I have a pic of a 6x2 Mk.2 Atki of theirs too - I shall have to see if I can find it.

class pics them lads thanks for posting

Thanks for putting the Barbers pics on, fetchin a bit of a tear to my eye… FDB 841D was a bit of an unusual reg for BT although a Stockport reg nearly all there plates had a hundred number like KJA 700F and the two I put on earlier SJA 700J etc. Thanks again sepo

Edenhall Concrete, Dennis, actually! It was a 6x4 rigid mixer, till John Killingbeck had other plans for it

Williamsons of Teesside used to run MK1 and MK2 Atkinsons ,they were based in Newtown ,Stockton on tees, they did warehousing as well, they had something to do with FVS ,joe Williamson had a farm near yarm and they ran a lot of eight wheelers which they converted to tractor units in the early years ,just wondered where are those vehicles now.
