Yeah I believe whats happening is we, normally on bin lorry duties shall report to work for Non driving duties for say around 6 hours, then if we get called out later the same day for gritting there are 5 hours left to play with, and as I say the gritting runs are only around 3 hours or so, so it should be easy enough to stay within the 10 hour drive, 11 hour duty rules.
As I am aware also, if we are out gritting very late also, way past midnight say, into the next day that will determine what time, if at all we do the 6 hour Non driving thing again the next day, so rest seems to be factored into it all.
