The independant mixer-hauliers have had it rough recently; Simon King of Chipping Norton went from 3 down to 1 and even that never turned a wheel for over 6 monthsHe’s busy again now, split between Topmix and Cemex.
ian wilson is a good friend of mine and he has been the same very quiet but now really busy again just like the tipper job a feast or a famine
Used to enjoy the mixers! Well i did until i went with a fellow driver on his last load of the day and we ended up on our side

I don’t know why artic mixers aren’t used over here? I know they’d be restricted to certain sites but with a sleeper cab fitted, I bet someone could find work with one?
Someone would complain. You are not leaving that drum revolving all night are you mate?
I am trying to sleep.
Although I haven’t got a clue how long a load of concrete would take to set if it kept going round!

i remember that, tescos roundabout a1 sliproad, i was on the tippers there.
