was at work yesterday driving two vehicles.started the shift in the digi then swaped to analogue ejected my card at 14:30 and ended my shift in the analogue at 16:00.here’s my problem,today i started shift at 7:30 and due to use being very quiet at the moment didnt have any deliverys so was working in yard til around 10:00 when we get an order over the phone.turns out its a load for the digi vehicle so i put card in and it asks me for manual entry so i opt yes and the first thing it asks me is end of shift at 14:30 from yesterday? the only options are poa/ow or break now this shouldnt be the problem as its all recorded on may analogue taco but i cant skip this and make a manual enty of the other work i did this morning from 7:30 til 10:00 how should i record this? bearing in mind i dont know witch vehicle im going to be in first.

if you do this again i would not do manual entry on the digi card as you have the analogue chart but if you are required for your employer to do this then i would 14 30 till 16.00 O/W and than put rest till .7.30 am and then O/W and if you had a brake between 7.30 and 10.

If you pressed “No” on the screen that says “11:02 14.30 End of shift?” then end your shift at 14:31. then you should be able to make your manual entry for the current days work. Do not make a manual entry for any period that’s recorded on analogue, thats making a false record and may land you and the Co in the ■■■ ■■■.
Now if you can’t go back into it to make an entry, record any gaps on the back of a chart/s or printout with a brief eplanation, sign em and keep for 28-42 days before giving them to your gaffer.

Bit pedantic, I suppose it’s a bit hypocritical, but ending the shift at 14:31 will allow you to make the current morning entry, I suppose you could just mess about and press buttons at random, you could start your chart at 14:31, I suppose you could just go and ask a mate or your TM what to do and I’ll go back to the playstation!
