In that situation it’s probably best to walk away from the situation and go elsewhere, inconvenient I know but civility costs nothing. Lost business through rudeness costs money, though obviously this business were not keen on customers inconveniencing them.
Tiger.
+1 I find it difficult giving money to someone I don’t like. My feet would have got my vote.
the nodding donkey:
I was once spoken to like that by a shunter. I dragged him out of his cab, and punched his lights out… This attracted the attention of his colleagues, who then wanted some. Security watched it on CCTV, and called the police. I ended up having the depot manager up against the wall before the cops arrived. But I explained to them that I needed a tacho break, and they told the manager that I was not to be disturb for nine hours, nor the bays next to me to be used. I drove straight through the barrier next morning, after the xxxx at the gate wanted to check in the back of the trailer.
Pah, I used to do that every day at every drop… at the old peoples home.
