Mirrorless merc screens

I know the mirror topic has been covered but I was passing one of these the other morning while it was still pitch black and couldn’t help thinking that those screens that replace the mirrors looked a bit bright and in your face. (a bit like those LED headlights that burn the eyeballs out your skull all night). Personally I think although you can dim most interior instrument panel lights, sat nav screens etc so they aren’t straining your eyes I thought they wouldn’t be able to be dimmed due to possibly reducing visibility. The offside looks as if it would be a nightmare being almost in your direct line of sight. I thought they looked more of a nuisance. Can they be dimmed, do you get glare or look like you have been bleeding from your eyeballs at the end of your shift? Is there anyone who rather rip them out and go the old fashioned way?

The future, mirrorless trucks on back of low loaders, due to problems with camera malfunctions.
