Trailers 4” apart, someone’s not doing the job right, I used to get em closer than that. Back em half way in, wind the legs down, lift the suspension, then back em the rest of the way in, crawl under the trailer to pull the pin.
White Arrow at Droitwich always parked trailers like that and they were those perishing awkward ones with two axles right at the back. I usually did okay until they gave me the last space on the right-hand side. I did try, but gave up in the end and asked a shunter to do it.
When someone got injured, H&S, or more likely their insurance Co, forced them to change.
