Was it “be a nosy lorry driver” day today? Had one driver today cry over the cb that I was “tipping topsoil on the tip” (it was a bit of good stuff on top of the load but clay underneath) another one cried because I’d entered the quarry road from a direction their lorries aren’t allowed (I was working down that way and not working for them).
Another noted I was a “dirty ■■■■ for driving in the quarry with my windows down” (air con doesn’t work and I don’t care about shiny motors).
It must be the heat…
aye, had one local O/Driver phone the boss to say I never wave back and that it was rude and doesn’t show the company in a good light .
thing was I waved back at everyone else sooooooo I just go over the top waving now when I meet him kin swampdonkey!!
Lol
Just when you think you’ve heard every insult,up pops another belter!
Swampdonkey.
Love it!
I had one moan at me for not observing the one way system ,what had actually happened was there was 5 trucks in a row waiting to diesel up ,so I shot down through the middle lane and turned round and drove in so my tank was on the right side .
He continued to moan so he got a ear full ,then thenpussy said don’t shout at me ,got told then don’t start on me and worry about what you’re doing not me then I won’t need to shout at you

Jeez this lad must have a hard time going through life…no one waving at him!?
People used to wave at me all the time… At least I think they were waving
Did you not hear " it’s against the law to drive a truck with no air con "
But you we’re listening in on other people’s conversations■■?

Not really was he as it was all blurted out over the cb and they were on about him so he’s going to listen in to what is being said.
I recon this thread has jinxed me…was waiting to load at the quarry today when a driver I had never seen before comes up to me(im sitting on the catwalk enjoying the sun(well smoke haze) …and without a hello or ought …straight into youre loading at the wrong pile ,the one you want is over there !!! …well 5yrs on the same run usualy 3 times a day for 6 months either hauling concrete sand (this pile) or concrete stone, the pile at the way in.
I was ehh what you on about and he told me more forcefully wrong pile !!!. I just got up and got back in as the loader was coming ,had a word with the loader driver on the net and he said this guy comes in once in a blue moon and is a gold plated inbred MF>and would be getting a real screwed up load (axle weights) for sticking his nose in the joys of rural Manitoba. lol
One of the nosy drivers I mentioned even shopped my mate (they work for the same firm) for road rage against a cyclist on Thursday. In Oxford, my mate does the unthinkable act of staying behind said cyclist who after about 150 metres, looks over his shoulder (yes he did ) signals right and safely turns off. As he turns he acknowledged my mate who in return gave a friendly toot on the horn (Boredwivdrivin will never believe this). Nosy jobsworth carrot crunching colleague is coming the other way and reports my mate for “road rage.”
What sort of life do these people live?

I try and try, but I just can’t get my head around this…
I’m starting to think there is another time dimension that I don’t know about!
ahh I see 5yrs ,5 days a week …6 -7months is all the sand/stone quarries are open in Manitoba Canada cause you cant quarry in -40c for sand or concrete stone as it is a washed product and freezes in the box and about 4ft deep in the pile at the quarry.
nb… limestone quarries for concrete stone are open but its to expensive to haul in the winter.
had that years ago when some bloke slagged me behind my back to the supervisor not knowing I was just outside the portakabin,to say I saw red was an understatement,i really ripped into him calling him all the names under the sun and stopped short of losing my job by smacking him,his reply was and I quote, you cant talk to me like that, unquote,it was ok for him to slate me though, and he was a yes man, while we sat around reading papers he panicked when the boss man turned up,total pxxxk
