It was mentioned twice,it is Rick Ellis.

Too my knowledge Rick Ellis is currently driving in the UK and his wife’s name was/is not Linda.

As there is no mention of photo 11 in any of the replys and the fact i don`t have a clue what someone called Rick Ellis looks like
how should i and others know which pic your all on about :unamused:

ok Gents

Its time to rack your brains the Pic no 11 of Rick and mrs Rick without the combe in his top pocket, the questions is where was the pic taken the clue is the other truck, engage brain now :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Re pic no 11, of Rick and mrs Rick aka Julles Ellis, the parking could have been anywhere in eastern europe. I dont see a clue in the Centrum trailer as they also were all over the place. I will have a guess at the parking behind the log cabin in the cz republic before prague. Regards Jamie.

Hi Ron, you can tell Mike Sargent that i have been reliably informed that the young lady in photo number 11 is not Mrs Jules Ellis, but she could have been accompaning the photographer.
Wishing All on Trucknet and all my old Friends. A Very Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Hi Roger, if it is not the Log Cabin, and if we all sat in a circle, only one I can think of would be The Windwill, but that is in Hungary.
I also seem to remember that most of the Vikings came through Poland, and we never seen them until we were south of Prague.

Happy New Year to all.

Dave.

dave

Spot on mate collect your Brucey Bonus with your super powers You got there ,did you not class Hungary as Eastern Europe ,I suppose not ,nevermind Have a great New Year, hope we all meet up sometime next year

Roger

Just to put the record straight. The girl in the photo with Rick Ellis is in fact Mike Sargent’s wife Marie. Mike took the photo of her with him for a laugh as he is so tall and she was so short. Mike also confirms that the photo was indeed taken at the Log Cabin in CZ and that the trailer was one of het centrum’s as was spotted.

More clues regarding the guy in photo no. 9…worked in the M.E. and also for a dutch company and is a scotsman from Girvan.

Well Roger, that puts paid to the Windmill parking in hungary. I was sure that i recognised the log lying at the side of Ricks trailer as the one i was useing in a toss the caber competition with Dave Mackie. Seeing the Centrum trailer reminded me of an english driver telling me a story about his Romanian Princess. As many of you are aware there were countless drivers who had faithfull princessess that were not on the game. This particular driver was one of those but told the following tale in all inocence. His firm had just given him a new Daf 95 SS cab and he could not wait to show it off to his princess. He lifted her up into the cab and was showing her all of the new toys and the big wide bed,but she was not that inthusieastic about it and when he asked her why ■■ She replied its just like Centrums!!!. Regards Jamie.

Hi Guys

Well I have been shot down in flames my reference was also the log as the windmill had a similar configuration ,I bow down to superior knowledge I have some pics of the windmill and you will see what led me on the wrong path, nevermind all in good days chat, keeps the brain ticking over.

Dug out the funeral card for Gerard Michael Whelan

And it says inside that Peter Jenkins, Gunnar and Peter Burgess all spoke of their memories of Gerry’s life at the service

What are you trying to say Jamie
Do you mean that Carmen from Arad was not really a Rumanian gymnast  .

Best regards Steve.

Don’t be fooled by the vehicle he’s sat in front of

Come on Ron, put me out of my misery, I am sure that I have met this guy before.
I put this photo on another thread asking who was who and somebody mentioned that the guy in the blue shirt at the back next to John Bruce was Dirty ■■■■ from Tanker Bill. My photo in the Londra camp was taken in 1987 and I have a feeling that Mike’s photo was taken more than several years earlier but I have a feeling that it’s the same fellow.
Who ever he is he want’s to get that Hernia checked out by the Doc or is this the guy who went to the Fire Station in Baghdad to get treatment for his Gentlemans problem :unamused: .

mushroomman, the guy with the ‘hernia’ problem in photo no. 12 as I have previously mentioned was on Simons at the same time that Mike and I were. His name is mentioned on my very first posting on the Simon International thread. He had part of one finger missing if that helps. Also the guy in photo no.10 only had one eye and drove for Eric Howell in the mid 70’s…does that help?

Here’s two more
