Might be a new no1

Will it achieve its goal

With Ely now having a bypass, Lichfield might well get there.
Maybe Lichfield needs a rich foreign owner who can bring an Eddie Stobart or other premiership logistics operation in to build the squad up.

A big American operator might do

Suspect Hinkley might still give it a run for its money until they stop doing some of the M6 roadworks at least. Then again, Lichfield has a bigger following so it might get some of the Stobart Spotters rooting for it and we know how much some of their drivers like to be celebs.

Then there’s hot competition from the Hazchem Network who are supposed to be moving to near the A5 at Hinkley so lining up either M1 or M6 bound traffic in the near future, mostly double deckers. Maybe Lichfield needs to attract the Fradley Park operations a bit closer as that’s lots of pallet companies and plenty of double deckers.

Could have people standing at each bridge counting the number of hits per night, not hits per week!

Btw, isn’t there a low bridge on the A444 in Nuneaton? Depending where Hazchem goes, I’m wondering if that might make an entrance.

Do you think all the drivers who have hit the winning bridge will get an open top bus ride through the appropriate town?
Maybe it could start off as a normal double deck bus and they could drive it under a low bridge as part of the ceremony.
