Midweek 45 hour rest

can anyone help here?

If you were to start work on a monday,and did 3 15’s,including 2 x 10 hour drives,
have thursday and friday off,to fulfill the 45 hour break

could you legally do 2 x 10 hour drives spread over 15 hours again on saturday and sunday?

Just think of it this way 45hrs off cancels everything and you start with a clean sheet. The only thing to affect you is the fortnightly hour limits but after 45hrs off you start again forget where the days of the week may fall it is irrelevant,

You can do 15 hour shifts but not the extended driving days. Reduced daily rest periods are 3 times between weekly rest periods and the extended driving days are twice per week. In the situation you outline you would not be able to extend your driving time until after midnight Sunday when the new week begins.

Best not to, that could land you in a whole heap of trouble.

The only thing a midweek daily rest period will reset is the number of reduced daily rest periods available. Ten hour drives and weekly and fortnightly driving limits are based on the fixed week and only reset at midnight Sunday.

No it doesn’t, your 10h drives are per fixed week (i.e. 00h00 Monday to 24h00 Sunday) and having a weekly rest in this example wouldn’t allow you to do 2 more of them.

Your reduced rests are reset though, so you could do some more 15h days.
