Hi it seems i have to get a new engine for my daf - it seems that they are bullit proof except of course for mine, i have been offered one from midland truck breakers by a guy called Brad, he seems quite genuine - any one had any dealings with him or his company - are they ok does any have any info for me cheers lee
never heard of them, but i can highly recommend Barry Grewcock & Sons from Corby for a replacement engine
how much are they charging you for the engine?
i bought one from Grewcocks for a DAF 95XF 430 at a good price
Grewcocks are a specialist DAF breaker, so, can help you with more than just the engine

hi mate barry grewcocks quoted me 2000 + vat for a lump then called me back to say it was shot - midland have quoted me 3500 + vat
and what sort of guarantee have you got with the one nearly twice the price?
i paid £2000 for the 430 engine for one of my XF’s a few years ago
personally, if you have the time to wait, i would wait for Grewcocks to get a decent one, they get trucks in all the time to break

they can also deliver the engine for you too, but, you will need some form of lifting equipment to get it off the truck

hi dave its a PE9200 for a 2005 daf cf 75 360
i have 75-360 2005 in stock 551.000 klms on engine , would want 3850gbp exchange for it, still in truck can check it then ill cut it out OM me if interest
