Its an entry level windows phone. Runing windows 10 mobile. There reliable I use a 950xl myself. Depends on what your after to do with it. The os is solid and feels better than 8.
Good points no itunes. Syncs with your pc or tablet (windows 10 ) exellent parental controls with windows 10. Via family settings. Although its and entry level phone you can add storage. And the feel and speed of the os is similar over what ever device you use
Can’t answer your question but will be watching with interest as my contract is up soon and I’ve had 3 HTC’s now and want a change.

But Tsco sells it for £50.- and Virgin has other Lumia for £125.- to £220.- on Pay as you go
I use one. My only gripe is the app store is a bit barren. The plus side to that is I’m not constantly downloading stuff that slowly kills the speed of the phone.
Also HERE maps is not as good as google maps, but still serviceable.

Agree with this. The apps are somewhat limited compared to iOS and android so if you’ve got apps that you use a lot it’s worth checking if it’s on Windows phone before you switch.
Windows 10 as a phone OS isn’t too bad - as has been said it’s way better than WP8 was!

How do you find the 950xl? Thinking of a replacement for my Lumia 930…
Its great there screen is good though aponia doesn’t render properly on the screen this could be an issue with the screen size. I had a 1020 before this and had win10 on insider. This phone is quick and the option of a 1tb ssd future proofs it plus the option of continuum is great is reminded it
As for apps it depends what you want I’ve never not found anything that stopped me doing somethin
