if you’re sat in a traffic jam, or stationary at some lights. i’m quite sure the old bill will do you if you was using a mobile without hands free.
but what’s the score with other things? sat navs, on board computers? that sort of thing.
some lorries are fitted with touch screen computers, the driver might have to enter details like customer not in, customer refused item etc.
i know most of those things are hand held things like the royal mail use, but there’s a firm i know that keep asking drivers to log more and more details. basically doing all the admin for them, but they get a rollocking if they don’t do the same amount of work in the same amount of time as before. they also get a rollocking if the info isn’t quite right.
the drivers are up in arms about it, but they won’t speak out as they think they’ll get the sack.
it’s a real [zb] company, and it’s getting worse.
