Donât get me started on DVLA medical boardI bet I can trump you on this, those [zb] took my licence away for 5 yrs even though my consultant said I was OK.
Yep you win but I was a bit economical or they may have had mine that long ( total of 18 mth )
nomiS36:
Did mine a couple of weeks ago. No dramas from me, perfect first time and got it back in 7 days [emoji4]

Ditto.
Hope they donât hang about with mine. Got the gubbins through the post just last week with a run-out date of 5th May, even though the card says 18th May.
Any delay and Iâll be off sick with âChronic Sore â â â Syndromeâ from lugging gas bottles about off the back of a 7.5 tonner.

Whatâs the score doze?
How did it get to that stage?
My mum, whoâs a driving instructor sent off her medical. Doctor right royally â â â â â â up.
She got a letter through a week or so later saying as she was legally blind, not only was the vocational not being renewed but her car licence was revoked as of midnight of the date on the letter. Finally got that sorted but took 2 weeks but she then had to go for an ecg, just waiting on the results.
Got my d4 done for pcv provisional and the doctor forgot to put his â â â â â â â name on the front page. Luckily I noticed before sending it off, so I had to go back and get that sorted.
How can they â â â â things up so oftenâ â ?

Then when you send it all to DVLA and chuck their epic levels of incompetence in the mix, things get even worse.
They took 5 months with mine, all because I had a disease that couldnât possibly affect my driving that I was cured of by the time I renewed my licence.

you fill in a small box on your lisense application which if I remember right is about if youâve had a vosa stop , what court fine , etc , so even though itâs all Been dealt with by DVsa / traffic commissioner , your application gets sent to the t/c office , this all takes time but eventually the t/c office decide weâve dealt with this previously so inform the DVsa that no further action is required , they send it back to the DVsa , who again stick it on a desk somewhere , and weeks months pass
then stobarts have kittens over the mention of the traffic commissioner being involved so even though t/c office / DVsa say your fine to resume driving wonât let you as I guess they think your telling porkies and with the application for a lisense being sent to t/c office you must of done something

Well at least Iâm ok on that score, as Iâm too fond of my licence (when I have it that is ) to do dodgy running for any â â â â âŚtoo street wise and experienced for that â â â â â â â â mate.
You have learned the hard way evidently doze, that the â â â â .s are fine with it when they are pushing your arse, and you are getting their work done faster for themâŚbut they sure as hell will NEVER back you when things go â â â â â â â north, âŚbut prefer to drop you like a dog turd .
Just an update (just in case anybody is actually interested )
Rang DVLA yesterday and today.
Apparentlly my application is in among 140, 000 others ! , can that be right??
Also no chance of them fast tracking it for me, they say max 3 wks so Iâve just got to â â â â it up.
Bit my tongue and was very polite in case they had aâŚââMake any arsey bastds waitââ system, so Iâll just keep ringing them anyway.
Had a couple of days off in Chester with the Mrs, she went shopping I had a couple of hours in Wetherspoons , and we met up laterâŚso both happy.
If no joy on Friday Iâm going to pull my hols forward and fly off somewhere next week, rather than take paid days at home, or unpaid leave.
Let you know what happens in the next ââThrilling installmentââ âŚbet you all canât wait eh?

Bloody hell mate, donât confuse things by chucking that in the mix âŚand the only thing I know about fridges is that mine keeps my beers nice and cool.
Have you asked the DVLA if you are entitled to drive Rob? or have they said a flat NO â â

Yeh, I can not drive (anything except my car) until the licence application is processed, which is why Iâm ringing them every day to get the go ahead.

â â â â driving a van, (or housework for that matter) Iâm monopolising on my time off, looking at booking a holiday to fly out Sunday if poss.
Hopefully by time I get back the licence job will be sorted.
