My dad had 79 v reg 1626.always remember him sayin how gutless it was.and the huge steering wheel,push button start and the curtains that folded into thepillars at windscreen.

Its great to see an SK being kept for the Classic & Vintage scene…Very tidy truck there…not a lot of restoration required by the looks of it…
A H reg 1735 we had on longish spot hire around 1993 is one of the best wagons I’ve ever driven/used.As I’ve already said on this thread I’m no fan of Mercs but other than a tired LP type, that broke down a couple of times with unusual faults that were fixed at the roadside, they have given me no grief at all.

Hi Andrew, Just wondering if i knew your mate i was at Taffy’s from 73 till 88 and still did work for him after that.A photo of a 2028 belonging him outside my spot in Wheatley Hill.

Surely that’s a 2035, EPS box was never put in a 28, and the way it’s stood suggests steel rear springs, the 2028s were all on air.

the mate i know from davies’ is ted hannon.i have seen some photos of him on here somewhere on one of the middle east thread’s.nice 2035 .ted used to organise the north of england road run,that’s how i met him.
